We are Michael and Cherie and we are in the middle of the slowest housebuilding project in history.  Well, maybe not, but it sure feels like it.  We are now in year three of a ten-year plan.

Who are we? Cherie works at a nonprofit, where she does lots of amorphous things like “build relationships” and “improve impact.”

Michael is a finish carpenter. He makes stuff.

Clearly, Michael is the more valuable part of this endeavor.

In November of 2007, we added Annabel to the team.  She isn’t much use yet on the housebuilding front, but as soon as she can walk properly you bet your Muck boots that she’ll be shingling.

Cherie does most of the writing here, because she is trying to make herself useful. And because someone once told her she was “witty,” and now no one can make her shut up.
